Dusky Sunday is an indie-folk duo comprising of established musicians Fern Teather and Sam Thurlow. Drawing comparisons to Slow Club, Gabrielle Aplin, and Fleetwood Mac, Dusky Sunday stands out from similar bands and artists with their unique combination of catchy, lyrical songs played on acoustic guitar and hand-percussion - topped with Fern’s smooth yet powerful voice, and tailed with Sam’s bass-y backing vocals.Though Sam has accompanied Fern’s solo music on percussion since 2014, his newly-discovered singing/songwriting talents caused a natural evolution of the pair’s sound over the past year - resulting in Dusky Sunday.

‘What are Dusky Sunday? Intricate finger-style and strummed guitar, detailed and sympathetic percussion and Fern’s flawless voice-of-an-angel floats and weaves through it all, underpinned by Sam’s breathy Baritone just at the right moments. It’s pop music, but also folk, roots, world, singer/songwriter(s)... and all of those at once, formed into thoughtful songs of love and life.’ - David Booth

‘Unique and fresh in their musical delivery with an on-stage chemistry to delight any audience.’ - Sophie Pol-Simon
